AAMA 2603 vs AAMA 2604 vs AAMA 2605 powder coatings for windows and doors
AAMA performance requirements can apply to the entire fenestration system, including the window or door frame and any exposed metal components, fixtures or hardware. The appropriate specification depends largely on where the coated surface is located, its level of environmental exposure and the requirements defined for the project.
Exterior-facing components will typically require AAMA 2604 or AAMA 2605 performance, while interior-facing surfaces are generally specified to AAMA 2604 and, in some cases, AAMA 2603.
