Quality Control: Career Opportunities and New Challenges
Marko is an ambitious family father who appreciates the career development opportunities at TIGER. Within a very short time he made the leap from production worker to quality controller. Now the next challenge awaits within the department - with one clear focus: The consistent product quality of TIGER powder coatings.
How has your journey at TIGER been so far?
I am a trained HTL mechatronics engineer. I originally applied for a job in production. During this work I found out that a position in quality control would become vacant. I've been part of the team for almost two years now. I got the chance to further rise on the career ladder.
What is your area of responsibility?
I am currently an "Abschließer" in quality control. I am responsible for ensuring that everything runs within the specified process parameters. Ultimately, it also means that the product and its quality are right. We compare the current production with a previous one. The deviations must not be too large and errors must be avoided.
From September on I'll be a "corrector". Because of my experience in the team, I was able to qualify for this position, which makes me very happy. I haven't been with the company that long and I'm honored that the team leaders have confidence in me.
What are you doing throughout the day?
We coat the powder samples and carry out various tests based on the test instructions. The results are entered manually in the SAP system on the PC. Then the material is released and posted. We are in constant correspondence with the correction, scheduling and warehouse teams. We are a “Crossroad” where everything meets.
What do you like about your job?
I like that every day is different. It's very varied and dynamic.
I like shift work and it allows me to organize time with my family better. Of course, the pay is better too.
How many people work in quality control?
In the 3-shift model, six people should be on site. We can coordinate as a team which shift is preferred.
What distinguishes TIGER from other companies?

The food in the canteen is very tasty. From next year on I will also be using the childcare, which will make vacation planning much easier.
