TIGER Strengthens Its Roots in Asia With New Offices in Thailand and India
In 2026, TIGER took two concrete steps to grow closer to its customers in Asia: a newly opened subsidiary in Bangkok, Thailand, and a new office in Pune, India, that is already serving its first regional customers.
A Grand Opening in Bangkok
On April 20, 2026, TIGER officially opened TIGER Coatings & Inks (Thailand) Co., Ltd. in Bangkok. The opening ceremony brought together guests including Austria's Ambassador to Thailand, Katharina Wieser, Deputy Commercial Attaché Igor Lukic, and a range of regional clients, partners and industry representatives, closing with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting. CEO Clemens Steiner used the occasion to underline the strategic weight of the expansion, pointing to TIGER's commitment to staying close to its customers and building out its regional footprint. The event also gave the team a chance to showcase what that footprint stands for in practice: coating and surface-finishing applications for transportation, architecture and general manufacturing, alongside TIGITAL® Inks and Tattoo solutions for industrial digital printing.
The timing isn't a coincidence. Thailand's economy is growing quickly, partly fuelled by manufacturing shifting from China into Southeast Asia - a trend creating real demand for advanced coating solutions. Backed by an international team spanning Austria, Thailand, China and Vietnam, TIGER is positioning the new subsidiary as a hub for automotive components, architectural façades, premium industrial manufacturing and digital printing, with a clear focus on sustainable, high-performance solutions.
First Customers in India
In Pune, the new TIGER Coatings & Inks India office is already at work. Among its first customers: Rocky Furniture and Fixtures RFF LLP, which produces furniture and store fixtures for shopping malls and liked TIGER's powder coatings enough to use them on the furniture in its own office too.
Building on Deep Roots
Neither move happened in isolation. TIGER's history in Asia goes back to the mid-1990s, when the company first gained a foothold in the region; a first Chinese production plant followed in 2000, with a plant in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam not far behind. That Vietnamese operation just marked its own 25th anniversary this June, with employees honoured for 10, 20 and 25 years of service: a reminder that TIGER's presence in Asia is built for the long run, not just the next quarter. Thailand and India join that regional network as sales and technical support offices - customer-facing hubs, not production sites. Manufacturing for the region continues to run through TIGER's established plants in China and Vietnam.
